How a Water Bill Can Help Cities Help Their Most Vulnerable Residents

Almost 3,000 Alaskan families received governmental assistance for rent - those who are in need but don't qualify for government help often turn to family, friends, and other informal sources for aid. The St. Vincent de Paul Society is just one of the many faith organizations stepping in to help fill in the gaps.

A Berlin-based non-profit, Access to Energy Institute (A2EI), is providing traders at Wuse Market in Abuja :solar generators," which has reduced noise and fumes while also saving the community money by no longer having to buy fuel for generations. The installed solar panel system sends real-time data back to Berlin for monitoring and maintenance.
